To observe the independence day in a festive mode, the Department of Economics organized a two-days long cultural programs  from 19th March to 20th March, 2018. We believe that honesty, integrity & patriotism are very much important to build up an equity-based economy as well as an educated nation. So, the main purpose of these programs were to represent the significance of liberation war as well as to inspire the students for being a good human with a mix of these characteristics. Along with the different programs, a departmental Quiz Competition based on the two books i) Oshomapto Attojiboni (The Unfinished Memoirs) and ii) Karagarer Rojnamcha (Prison Diary) and an inter-batch Wall Magazine Competition based on the different historic events of 1971 were held on 19th March & 20th March, 2018 respectively. The chair of chief guest was decorated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M Wahiduzzaman and the special guests were Dr. Md. Abul Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor, NSTU & Dr. Md. Syed Atiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, NSTU.
